CAMERON DEE SEWELL has an extensive transactional practice concentrated on the negotiation and drafting of contracts for acquisitions, sales, mergers, and reorganizations of corporations and other business entities. Mr. Sewell handles the corporate law and business -related legal matters for small, mid-size and large companies. In addition, Mr. Sewell is active in a broad area of tax planning, wills, trusts, probate and other sophisticated tax planning.
Mr. Sewell received his undergraduate and law degree from the University of Texas (B.A. 1968, J.D. 1970). He was research editor of the Texas International Law Journal and is a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Mr. Sewell also served as a member and officer of the Board of Trustees of the Lancaster Independent School District for nine years, and previously served as Chairman of the Civil Service Commission for the City of Lancaster, Texas.
Mr. Sewell was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1971; District Court, Northern District of Texas in 1977; Western District of Texas in 1988; U.C. Tax Court in 1972; and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in 1981.
