Mike concentrates his practice in the defense of traumatic and occupational injury claims against major rail carriers in multiple state and federal jurisdictions under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA). Mike’s jury trial experience includes successfully defending premises liability claims.  To prepare for his career as a trial lawyer Mike focused  on trial advocacy courses and programs in law school.  Mike and another attorney in the firm placed first in a trial advocacy competition sponsored by the local bar association.   Mike has  clerked for a United States Magistrate Judge as part of a judicial externship program.  He has successfully initiated and defended appeals on behalf of his clients in several state and federal appellate courts.  

Mike enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and has completed several marathons.  He also loves to travel to destinations far and wide.  Mike lives in St. Louis and is a big fan of Cardinal baseball.
