Schornack-Smith, Judith Ann

Attorney Marcus B. Schneider is originally from Kittanning, Pennsylvania.  He is an honors graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.  While at Pitt, Marc participated in the University of Pittsburgh Elder Law Clinic where he assisted the local indigent elderly population a variety of elder law and estate planning issues.  Marc is also an honors graduate from the Pennsylvania State University, where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Philosophy, with a minor in legal studies.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Marc’s practice focuses primarily on litigation in federal and state courts.  His federal court practice actively involves civil rights litigation and business disputes.  His state litigation practice is focused predominantly in Allegheny and Armstrong counties and includes cases involving personal injury, employment discrimination, whistleblower law, contract disputes, commercial litigation, and divorce, where Marc focuses on collaborative resolution of claims.  He also advises and represents clients who have been charged with DUI and he has successfully suppressed evidence in order to assist clients in avoiding severe criminal penalties.  As part of the transactional component of Marc's practice, he provides advice to clients in connection with elder law and estate planning issues, and he also has experience drafting contracts on a variety of matters.  Marc also serves, along with Attorney Charlie Steele, as solicitor for a local school district, advising the district on numerous different matters.

Marc currently resides in the North Hills with his wife, Nikki, and daughter, Molly.  Marc is a diehard ice hockey fan and is a Pittsburgh Penguins season ticket holder.
