Schmidt, William J.

Mr. Schmidt is a senior partner in the Subrogation Department.  He received his B.A., cum laude, in 1979 from Dickinson College and his J.D. in 1982 from the University of Pittsburgh where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and was a member of the Law Review.

He has been practicing in the field of subrogation since 1982 and is a member of the bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey with admission to New York pending.  He practices throughout the United States using the services of local counsel under a special program of the Subrogation Department.

In addition to litigating and trying cases throughout the Eastern United States, Mr. Schmidt has been an author and speaker for publications and forums focused on litigation practices.  Mr. Schmidt has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system and he was elected as an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
