Al has extensive experience in franchise, licensing, and distribution matters. He regularly advises manufacturers, licensors, and franchisors on franchise and distribution systems development, implementation, and channel management. Al has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including, restaurants/food services; medical devices and health care products; building materials products; home remodeling and repair; computers/information technology; fashion and apparel; accounting and business consulting services; specialty retail; landscaping; education and training; children's fitness/entertainment; lodging/hospitality; cleaning services; travel and tourism; automotive manufacturing, distribution, maintenance, and repair services; convenience stores and service stations; professional sports; hair and personal care; and retail electronics.
Al also counsels clients on matters related to mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing strategies, commercial contracts, entity structuring, joint ventures and strategic alliances, IP licensing, employment agreements, and stock incentive plans.
Prior to attending law school, Al was an information systems analyst with a major insurance company. He is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Business Law and the Forum on Franchising.
