Earl Schaffer is from Mamaroneck, New York. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1967.
He attended law school at George Washington University in Washington, DC, and received his Juris Doctor from George Washington University in 1971. During and following law school Mr. Schaffer served six years in the Maryland National Guard and United States Army Reserve.
Mr. Schaffer is admitted to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association.
Mr. Schaffer clerked for the judges of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland. He was an early member of the Annapolis Environmental Commission.
Mr. Schaffer has been active with the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce, serving as its President in 1993. He served on the Anne Arundel County Severna Park Small Area Plan Committee and was a member of ASPIRE, an organization dedicated to the future planning of the Severna Park community.
Mr. Schaffer concentrates his practice in condominium law, homeowners associations, business formation and representation, real estate, wills and trusts, estate administration, and general litigation.
