B. Shannon Saunders was born in 1973 in Dothan, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University in 1996 with a degree in Criminology. Following graduation from Auburn University, he attended Nova Southeastern University School of Law, graduating with honors in 1999. During his last semester in law school, Shannon interned with the Broward County State Attorney's Office in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, gaining extensive trial experience.
Following graduation from law school, he began working at the Public Defenders office in Panama City, Florida. There, he tried many serious criminal felony cases. In 2001, Shannon began working for the law firm of Cochran, Cherry, Givens & Smith, P.C. in Dothan, Alabama. There, he specialized in personal injury and wrongful death cases. He participated in the trial where a jury in Dale County, Alabama, returned a record verdict of twenty-five million, which is the largest verdict ever returned in a Dram Shop case in the state of Alabama.
In 2005, Shannon left the Cochran Firm and returned to his home state of Florida, opening up his own practice. His goal was to take the knowledge and experiences gained and apply it to provide injured clients the level of specialized care and attention they deserve and oftentimes don't get from larger firms. Today, he continues to specialize in the area of personal injury and wrongful death cases. He represents injured victims and their families across the Southeast.
