Robert was born and raised in Houston. He attended Houston public schools and then earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Tech and his law degree from the University of Houston. During law school, Robert worked as an intern for United States District Judge Lynn N. Hughes and was awarded a summer internship with the Texas Railroad Commission by the State Bar of Texas. In his third-year of law school, Robert served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Houston Journal of International Law and worked as a law clerk for Stevenson & Murray.
In 2011, Robert was awarded the James Baker Hughes Prize for his paper on antitrust concerns with international airline alliances. The Prize is awarded annually to the best student-written manuscript on international economic law. His paper was then published in the Houston Journal of International Law.
After law school, Robert worked for a maritime defense firm before returning to Stevenson & Murray in 2012 where he focuses on plaintiffs’ rights. Robert practices personal injury and commercial litigation.
