Saffer, Michael D

Robert M. Hammers, Jr. was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and grew up in Woodstock, Georgia. Robert graduated from the University of Georgia in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Robert obtained his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in April of 2008. Robert earned admission to the State Bar of Georgia in November of 2008 and admission to United States District Court for Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia in March of 2010.

During law school, Robert was an active member of the Student Bar Association and actively participated in the school's intraschool mock trial competitions as part of the trial skills curriculum. Robert also was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a legal intern for the Florida Department of Corrections Office of the General Counsel in its employment litigation practice group. Prior to joining Vernis & Bowling of Atlanta, LLC, Robert practiced in the areas of general business litigation, real estate transactions, collections litigation, family law and criminal defense.

Robert's areas of practice include general insurance defense, automobile negligence, commercial vehicle negligence, common carrier liability, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability subrogation claims, uninsured motorist claims, S.I.U/fraud and first and third party casualty claims. Robert is an Eagle Scout and active member of the Atlanta Bar Association Litigation Section and the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
