Agsten, Melinda A.

Nancy is a shareholder and director in the firm of Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association. She has been named vice president of the board of directors. Nancy is a member of the Business Law Section and practices primarily in the areas of:

• Mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
• Joint ventures and partnerships
• Corporate strategy and structure
• General corporate and securities law (private placements and public offerings)
• Commercial transactions

Nancy is a member of the Minnesota, Hennepin County and American Bar associations and Minnesota Women Lawyers.

Born in Sioux City, Iowa, Nancy received her B.B.A. and M.A. in accounting from the University of Iowa. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Iowa Law School, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. Nancy was formerly an associate with Briggs from 1989 to 1995. She was senior counsel for Koch Industries, Inc. from 1995 to 2000 and returned to Briggs as a shareholder in 2000.
