Sachs, Robert L.

Mr. Hamilton has an extensive background in criminal law working as the District Public Defender in the Fulton office from 1988 to 2005. His work with the Public Defender System gave Mr. Hamilton the opportunity to mentor young attorneys as well as become a seasoned trial attorney. Mr. Hamilton has worked on countless cases ranging from the most severe felonies of Murder in the first degree, Robbery in the first degree and Distribution or Manufacturing of Drugs to the minor misdemeanors of Passing Bad Checks and Driving While Revoked. Mr. Hamilton is a competent trial attorney with over 23 years of experience in criminal law.

After leaving the Missouri State Public Defender System, Mr. Hamilton went into private practice with Murray Law Firm in which he was one of the two attorneys that received the Best Of Columbia Attorneys in 2008. While at Murray Law Firm, Mr. Hamilton, still focused on working felony cases, also was able to hone his skills with DWIs and the specifics in relation to the civil procedures that accompany driving while intoxicated charges. Mr. Hamilton is certified in conducting field sobriety tests.

After six years of practicing law with Murray Law Firm, Mr. Hamilton has decided to open his own firm to better serve his clients.

Mr. Hamilton continues to actively participate in continuing his legal education through membership in various associations such as the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the Missouri Society for Criminal Justice. He is a member of the Missouri Bar and the Boone County Bar. He has represented clients from Kansas City through St. Louis and from Kirksville though the Lake of the Ozarks.
