Russell, Samuel B.

Jamila Hall is a former federal prosecutor who represents businesses and individuals in significant government investigations, complex civil lawsuits, and at trial. She has extensive experience conducting global internal investigations for boards of directors and special committees.

While serving as an Assistant United States Attorney, Jamila successfully prosecuted more than 100 criminal cases and first-chaired jury trials, ranging from firearms and bank robberies to nationwide, multidefendant white-collar crime cases charging bank, mail, wire, investment, and securities fraud. She also was responsible for managing parallel and multi-agency investigations involving the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Internal Revenue Service, Federal Trade Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Jamila has devoted a significant amount of her time to volunteer and pro bono activities in the Atlanta area. She is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, for which she serves as vice chair/chair-elect of the Criminal Law Section, and the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys. Jamila has served as a Barrister for the Bleckley Inn of Court. She is an instructor for Emory University School of Law's Trial Techniques Seminar and serves as an annual judge for the Georgia High School Mock Trial Tournament and the National Moot Court Competition for law students. Jamila is a member of the Women's Solidarity Society, a fundraising arm for the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta. She also volunteers for Project Open Hand, delivering meals to the elderly and individuals with chronic illnesses.
