Michael Green is a partner in the Madison office of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP and a member of the Firm's Transactional Practice Group and Financial Services Industry Group. Mr. Green is the Chair of the Land & Resources sub-Practice Group, which includes leadership of the Firm's Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Team, Project Development and Finance Team and Financial and Reorganization, Financial Restructuring and Workouts Team.

Mr. Green's individual practice focuses on all facets of business and real estate law, with concentrations in project finance, real estate finance, commercial and secured lending, and mergers and acquisitions. His practice includes a wide range of finance and project development matters, including the representation of local and national real estate developers in the acquisition and disposition, zoning and development and redevelopment of real property; the negotiation of development and governmental incentive agreements; the acquisition and disposition of improved real property; the development of energy facilities, the negotiation and drafting of lease agreements and property restrictive covenants and operating agreements. Mr. Green's experience in the project development and finance area includes working with developers, lenders, and strategic partners on a variety of projects, utilizing taxable and tax exempt municipal finance products, new markets and other tax credits, tax incremental financing, private equity placements and mezzanine financing, as well as restructuring existing financings and projects.
