The mission of my law practice is straight forward: Utilize my unique blend of experience to provide legal representation that focuses on criminal litigation with an emphasis on maintaining a high level of client contact and involvement.

My law practice has me in court almost every working day of the year in counties throughout central and south central Indiana. Why is that fact important? Because in order to be an effective litigator an attorney must be willing to aggressively argue his client's case. The cornerstone of my practice starts with the promise that I will always: (1) be prepared; (2) be organized; and (3) be willing to stand next to you in court and advocate for you.

In order to be an effective litigator an attorney must know both the client and the details of the client's case. I offer a free initial consultation that is detailed in nature. There is no time limit on the initial consultation. I will take as much time as necessary to give you the chance to tell me about your case. I learn both about you and the details of your case. I am able to provide you with a map for your case following the consultation and a plan to litigate your case. However, the emphasis on client contact does not end with the initial consultation. Regular contact throughout the case is important so that both you and I are prepared prior to each appearance in court. An important part of this relationship is making sure that office meetings and phone conferences are made available as needed to continue to address your needs and discuss evolving legal issues.

I believe my unique legal experience allows me to effectively litigate your criminal case. My experience includes employment in Johnson County as a deputy prosecuting attorney where I had the opportunity to litigate a wide range of offenses including misdemeanors, felony and major felony cases. I also had the opportunity to work as a deputy prosecuting attorney in the Marion County Prosecutor's Office focusing my litigation exclusively on sex crimes. Following my time as a deputy prosecutor I was employed at the Indiana General Assembly where I drafted criminal legislation in both the Indiana House and Senate. Many of the criminal statues in effect today were part of the broad range of work I did while working in our legislative branch.

As a criminal defense attorney I have had the opportunity to represent many clients on a very broad range of charges, including: murder, attempted murder, neglect, fraud, drug charges (both dealing and possession), sex crimes, operating while intoxicated, corrupt business influence (RICO), check fraud, battery, domestic battery, theft, burglary, and many, many more.
