Thomas G. Gorman, a founding partner of Schiff Gorman LLC, brings a broad background to the firm. He was previously a partner in a firm with more than 35 attorneys where his jury trials included personal injury automobile collisions, premises liability, wrongful death, medical negligence, and products liability. He understands defense strategy as many years ago he represented the interests of trucking companies, rental car drivers, and the manufacturers of a variety of products.
Tom's practice is devoted exclusively to personal injury and wrongful death, representing victims and the families of victims of negligence. He has litigated thousands of automobile and truck collisions, and understands the nuances that each case can present. Although his pretrial mediation and arbitration results alone exceed many millions of dollars, his focus remains on his clients, whose losses, though large or small, deserve the experience that the SCHIFF GORMAN law firm brings to every case.
Tom's achievement record did not begin in front of a jury. He earned a scholarship to play football at the University of Notre Dame and played on the 1988 National Championship team, earning academic All-American honors.
Tom went on to business school at the University of Notre Dame and received a Masters in the Science of Administration. Upon graduation, he enrolled in Notre Dame's Law School where he received "The American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Advocacy."
Tom, a native of the south-side of Chicago, has transferred his success from the playing field to the courtroom. He is an advocate of prompt resolutions and believes in giving back to those organizations that have made him successful. As the beneficiary of a great education, he is devoted to advocating for the health and education of children.
