Bill Richards received his undergraduate degree in 1983 from Valparaiso University. He received his JD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987. He is admitted in Wisconsin, the United States District Court for the Eastern and western Districts of Wisconsin, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has spent his career representing clients in civil litigation, real estate and small business matters throughout his career. He has handled numerous jury trials, appeals, arbitrations and mediations. In addition to his legal practice, he was elected to the Bayside Village Board, served on the North Shore Fire Department Board of Directors and the Village of Bayside Board of Review.
