Sean L. Gill is an associate at Fain, Major & Brennan, P.C. where his practice currently focuses primarily on defending personal injury claims arising out of motor vehicle accidents and premises liability, and property damage claims arising out of construct defects. Sean has represented scores of individuals, businesses, apartment complexes, builders and developers against a variety of claims. Additionally, Sean is experienced in insurance coverage matters and has served as coverage counsel in construction defect cases. Sean has successfully litigated cases throughout Georgia in both state and federal court and was recently selected for inclusion on Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for 2012 in the area of construction litigation. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the list.
Sean graduated with honors from the University of Alabama-Birmingham with a degree in Finance. He was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society and received the Outstanding Academic Excellence Award from the school’s Department of Finance, Quantitative Methods, and Economics. Sean earned his law degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. He participated on the Thurgood Marshall mock trial team and served as the Vice-President of the school’s Black Law Students Association. He also served as a regional executive member for the Mid-West Black Law Students Association. In addition, Sean interned with the school’s Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic, where he provided pro-bono services to victims of predatory lending. He was recognized for his hard work and talent by earning the highest grade awards in the school’s Civil Litigation Clinic and Trial Tactics courses.
Before entering private practice, Sean was an assistant city attorney for the City of Atlanta Law Department, where he represented the City, its police officers, and other city departments against claims of civil rights violations.
