Dana Garrett Diment has skillfully handled a wide array of commercial litigation matters throughout Georgia, focusing primarily on real property disputes and title insurance claims and construction litigation. Diment has substantial experience in all aspects of land title insurance matters, from the evaluation and administration of insurance claims, to the defense of insured owners and lenders, to the litigation of insurance coverage disputes, to recovery and recoupment. In addition, as counsel to construction general contractors, subcontractors, and sureties, Diment has significant knowledge and experience with respect to construction disputes, litigation, and arbitration, and Diment has applied that experience and knowledge to the successful handling of title claims arising from construction disputes such as those involving materialmen's lien claims and the like. Diment also has considerable experience litigating commercial lending disputes.

In matters ranging from complex and fiercely contested lawsuits to simpler suits where efficiency is essential, Diment has been lead counsel at the engagement of title insurers in numerous actions in trial and appellate courts at the state and federal levels throughout Georgia. Diment's enthusiasm for land title law began in the late 1980's while she was associated with Smith, Gambrell, and Russell in Atlanta, Georgia, where Diment was engaged as outside field claims counsel for Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation, making coverage determinations, setting reserves, and resolving claims, while remaining in private practice. Diment joined the partnership of that Atlanta firm, but she ultimately returned to her hometown of Carrollton, Georgia, to form the firm now known as Diment Carroll LLP.

As the senior partner in a law firm significantly devoted to real estate, title insurance, and commercial litigation, Diment has enthusiastically handled hundreds of matters on behalf of many insurers, commercial lenders, and owners. Diment is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and all state and federal courts in Georgia.
