I was born in Provo, Utah in 1953. I grew up in Holladay, Utah. My father was an elementary school teacher, and my mother was a homemaker. I attended Olympus High School, where I was a complete nerd. I attended Brigham Young University long enough to get married. I received a Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Utah in 1982, and I still speak it fluently.
I received a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from the University of Utah Law School, also in 1982 (figure that one out). In 1984, I wrote a novel, The Trial, about a lawyer with seven children. It became a Deseret Book Best Seller. (It is still available in all of the public libraries, so just check it out, don't bother to buy it.) I have seven children. I have six grandchildren, and they are much cuter that my children.
My law practice emphasizes Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Over the years I have filed more that 5000 cases for my clients.
