Robert D. Ryan is a founding partner of Rende, Ryan & Downes, LLP. He has extensive trial experience representing hospitals and doctors in malpractice actions, as well as representing physicians involved in New York State Department of Health investigations (Office of Professional Medical Conduct). Mr. Ryan has lectured on trial matters for the New York State Bar Association, the Practicing Law Institute, the Rhode Island State Trial Lawyers Association and Pace University Law School. He served as an adjunct professor at St. John’s University Law School from 1992-2001, teaching trial advocacy. Mr. Ryan has been named to Who’s Who in American Law from 1992 to the present, and maintains an A-V rating, the highest possible peer rating from Martindale Hubbell for excellence in legal ability and ethical standards. He is a former prosecutor with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and served as the Chief of the General Trial Section. Mr. Ryan is a past president of the Northern Westchester Bar Association.
