John Paul Davis is an Associate with Wood, Herron & Evans and is involved in all phases of the firm's IP practice. His expertise is concentrated in the area of intellectual property litigation. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1995, to the District Of Columbia bar in 1998 and to the Minnesota bar in 1998.
John joined Wood, Herron & Evans in 2000, after serving as a Staff Attorney for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and as an Attorney-Advisor for the United States Air Force. Before becoming an attorney, John spent four years as an Air Force officer. He currently holds the rank of Major in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General Department Reserve.
John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1987 and then obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Regent University Law School in 1995.
John is an active member of the State of Illinois and American Bar Associations, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Christian Legal Society, Computer Law Association, Federal Bar Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He resides in Newport, Kentucky with his wife Sara.
