Matthew P. D'Avanzo joined Levin & Perconti in October 2012 after passing the Illinois Bar Exam. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in May 2012.
As an associate attorney, Matt handles all types of medical malpractice, nursing home, personal injury and wrongful death cases. Matt comes from a family of attorneys and always knew he wanted to pursue a career in law. "After working for two years as a clerk at a personal injury firm in Chicago, it solidified my desire to want to help victims of negligence and malpractice fight for justice."
In law school, Matt was named to the Dean's List and participated in the Chicago Bar Association's Moot Court Competition. He received a Certificate in Trial Advocacy and a 711 license, and was one of the first students to participate in an advocacy program in which students represented people in EEOC mediation hearings.
Matt earned his B.A. in Economics with a minor in Political Science from Kalamazoo College in 2009. During college, he played offensive guard for Kalamazoo's football team and studied abroad in Madrid. He grew up in the Detroit suburb of Plymouth, MI.
Matt now lives in Chicago and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Justinian Society of Lawyers.
