Mr. Curtis is a partner in the Litigation Department and a member of the Environmental and Toxic Tort Practice Group. He focuses his practice on toxic tort, products liability, and environmental exposure claims.
Mr. Curtis specializes in the innovative defense of claims brought against corporate clients in the asbestos personal injury litigation. He has extensive experience in providing counsel to and creative solutions for manufacturers, suppliers, contractors and premises owners faced with toxic tort claims. Mr. Curtis has served as liaison counsel for the peripheral defendant group in the consolidated multi-district federal court asbestos litigation. He currently serves as defense liaison counsel in the Philadelphia County asbestos litigation program. Mr. Curtis supervises the eastern Pennsylvania regional asbestos defense medical cost-sharing program. He has lectured on cost-containment issues and their application to mass torts.
Mr. Curtis received his B.A. from The College of Wooster in 1966 and his J. D. in 1969 from Cornell Law School. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and is admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Curtis is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association.
