Pitts, Brendan

Sarah was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. Through her family’s travels, she discovered the beaches surrounding Charleston, South Carolina, where she spent part of every summer. It was during that time that Sarah fell in love with all that Charleston had to offer, the history, the beautiful weather, and the friendly people.

Sarah attended West Virginia University on a four-year scholarship, where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Journalism. Upon graduation, she attended West Virginia University College of Law after graduating from college. After Sarah’s first year of law school, she found herself back in Charleston, South Carolina working as a summer associate at a Plaintiff’s firm that specialized in complex products liability, asbestos, and commercial litigation. While in law school, Sarah was selected to be a member of the law school’s National Moot Court Team based on her performance at WVU's Baker Cup Moot Court Competition. As a member, she traveled to Richmond, Virginia to compete in the Fourth Circuit Regional Competition where she advanced to the quarterfinals.

Before joining Kernodle Root + Coleman, Sarah started her career at a civil defense firm focusing on insurance defense in the areas of automobile negligence and personal injury. She has continued to focus her insurance defense practice on construction defects, premises liability, personal injury, and termite litigation at Kernodle Root + Coleman.
