Colorado Criminal Defense Lawyer Steve Pisani was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. Steve attended Brooklyn Technical High School and graduated with honors and a full tuition scholarship to New York University. While attending NYU, Steve was admitted into the honors chemistry program and dual-majored in chemistry and political science. Throughout college, Steve worked two jobs: he was a volunteer researcher at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center working on breast cancer treatment; and he worked alongside his father in the construction business.
After NYU, Steve went on to work in the legal department for IMG, an internationally known entertainment agency. Steve followed IMG with a position at Morvillo Abramowitz, a well-respected boutique litigation firm in Midtown Manhattan. At Morvillo, Steve learned the basics of criminal defense from some of the best defense minds in New York. Steve went on to attend the University of Denver for his law degree. While at DU, Steve was the secretary of the Intellectual Property Legal Society, a member of the Moot Court Board, a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, an intern at the Englewood prosecutor's office and a regional finalist in the National American Bar Association's Appellate Advocacy competition.
Steve used his knowledge, experience and skills and opened his criminal defense practice in 2008. Since 2008, Steve has helped over 250 clients and has practiced criminal defense in more than 30 different Colorado courts, including 11 of Colorado's 22 judicial districts. Steve is married to his wonderful wife Rachel and enjoys New York and Colorado sports teams, hiking, skiing and cooking.
