My practice focuses on litigating, arbitrating and resolving claims arising from construction projects including the representation of clients in bankruptcy proceedings. This also involves counseling clients with regard to the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts. In addition I advise clients with regard to employment and labor issues. I represent clients before various administrative agencies and have represented clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New Mexico Oil Conservation Commission, the Las Vegas Air Quality Commission and the Nevada State Contactor's Board.
I have previously served as an arbitrator with the Court-annexed arbitration program in the Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County, Nevada.I have served as a Justice Pro Tem, Justice Court for Clark County, Nevada as well a Hearing Officer for Clark County. Additionally, I currently sit as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau of Nevada as well as a hearing officer for the City of Henderson, Nevada.
I am a frequent lecturer on topics relating to the construction industry, including payment issues, mechanic's lien claims, public contracting, and construction claims. I have been requested by both public and private entities to provide in-house lectures regarding the ever-changing Nevada construction laws.
I have served on the Government Affairs Committee of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the Clark County Bar Continuing Education Committee. I am a member of the American Bar Association's Construction Industry Forum and Public Contracts Section. I am admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in the states of Nevada and New Mexico and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.
I have acted as an arbitrator in general civil matters with the Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County, Nevada's arbitration program.
