Benn, Joshua

Joshua J. Benn is an Of Counsel Attorney at the Peterson Law Group, a 4 attorney civil practice law firm based in Bryan-College Station, Texas. He practices primarily in the areas of guardianship, business law, real estate law, estate planning, probate, and mediation.

Josh grew up in the small Brazos Valley town of Brenham and graduated from Brenham High in 1991. In 1995, he received a Bachelor of Arts from Sam Houston State University in Political Science. He then obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Baylor University School of Law in 1998.

In addition to being licensed in all Texas courts, he is also licensed to practice in the United States federal courts in the Southern District of Texas. Besides practicing law, Josh has served as both an adjunct faculty member and the Real Estate Program Coordinator at Blinn College. He also is an owner of Brazos 1031 Exchange Company, LLC and speaks on a regular basis to community and educational groups on the subject of guardianship.

Josh is an member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and is actively involved in the local community. He serves or has served as the Vice-Chairman of the College Station Zoning Board of Adjustments and on the boards of Junction 505, Inc., Bryan/College Station Soccer League, Inc. and Brazos Valley Hockey Club, Inc., in addition to many other civic, nonprofit and church boards and organizations.
