Steven S. Flores has broad litigation experience. He has served as lead trial or appellate counsel for clients in federal and bankruptcy courts in New York, Michigan and Illinois. He has litigated disputes involving a variety of industries, including automotive, retail, real estate and securities. Recently, Mr. Flores obtained a $20 million judgment against the country’s largest automotive toolmaker after prevailing on all issues during a four-day trial in Michigan. Also, the partial summary judgment Mr. Flores recently obtained in a fraudulent transfer action received front-page coverage as a "Top Legal Case" in Bankruptcy Court Decisions Weekly News & Comment as well as coverage in Securities Litigation Alert.
At the Togut firm, Mr. Flores has represented, among others, the Collins & Aikman Litigation Trust, Chrysler Corporation and Tower Automotive. Prior to joining the Togut firm, Mr. Flores was an associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP and Winston & Strawn LLP, where he regularly represented Fortune 500 companies, or company officers and directors, in complex litigation matters.
Super Lawyers magazine recently honored Mr. Flores by placing him on its 2011 list of "Rising Stars" for Business Litigation.
