Don A. Fendon is a shareholder with the Fendon Law Firm, P.C.  Mr. Fendon has worked in the worker’s compensation industry in Arizona since October, 1972. 

He began working for the Arizona State Compensation Fund in October, 1972 and worked with that entity until June, 1978.

In July, 1978 he went into private practice, and has been in private practice since that time.  He has not only been a partner in three (3) separate law firms, but also has been in private practice on his own since 1992.

In 2008 his son, Matthew, joined his firm and it became the Fendon Law Firm.

He has been licensed to practice law in Arizona since 1970 and besides working in the worker’s compensation field since 1972 he has also prosecuted for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office during 1971 and the first nine (9) months of 1972.

He is an AV rated attorney by the Martindale Hubble per review rating system and has been since 1990.  An AV rating means he has the highest possible peer review rating that an attorney can have, in not only legal ability, but also in ethical standards.
Mr. Fendon also has a 10.0 (superb) rating with AVVO.com. 

He’s a member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, the Worker’s Injury and Law Advocacy Group (WILG), the Worker’s Compensation Section of the State Bar and is a Certified Specialist by the State Bar of Arizona is Worker’s Compensation Law.  It also is important to note the Mr. Fendon was a member of the first group that was certified by the State Bar of Arizona as lawyers specializing in worker’s compensation and that distinction was given to him on August 16, 1979.

Mr. Fendon is a native of Chicago, Illinois, but moved to Arizona from California in October, 1969 and has been a resident of Phoenix, since that time.

Mr. Fendon graduated from the University of California, Berkley in 1965 and from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 1968.
He is a member of the State Bar of Florida although he has never practiced in that jurisdiction.

In his free time, Mr. Fendon enjoys spending time with his wife, Paula, of more than 42 years, his two (2) sons, two (2) daughters and his four (4) grandsons and two (2) granddaughters.  He enjoys traveling in the western United States, as well as spending time in Flagstaff.  He is an avid sports fan of the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco Giants, Atlanta Braves, Arizona Cardinals and the Phoenix Coyotes.

Areas of practice – 95% worker’s compensation (applicant); 5% social security disability law.  Litigation percentage 80-90% of his practice is devoted to litigation. In law school Mr. Fendon was a founding member of the Cumberland School of Law, law review.
