Ms. Ernst graduated from Michigan State University College of Law and received an Equal Justice Works Fellowship for the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at Michigan State University. She married her husband, who is currently a Warrant Officer, Active Duty, in the U.S. Army, and followed him to Colorado where she was hired with the Colorado Public Defenders Office and spent 6 years defending indigent clients. Ms. Ernst has handled thousands of criminal cases. She has vigorously defended her clients with all manner of charges, ranging from disorderly conduct charges to homicides and sex assaults.
Ms. Ernst is well respected by her colleagues, as well as judges and opposing counsel, but she never backs down from a fight. She is tireless in getting great results for her clients. She has tried dozens of cases with many acquittals. Ms. Ernst believes that every person has the absolute right to the best representation. All people are entitled to zealous advocacy. Ms. Ernst lives this belief everyday in her law practice. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality legal services for every client.
While Ms. Ernst has extensive knowledge of courtroom proceedings and Colorado law, she loves learning, and is always expanding her knowledge by staying current with new developments in the law and attending legal seminars.
