Marissa Olsson began at Kraft Palmer Davies in 2009 as an intern after her second year of law school and is now an attorney with the firm. She practices exclusively personal injury, with a focus on maritime injuries, premises liability, product liability, construction injuries, and car and truck accident injuries.
Marissa received her BA degree from the University of Washington in 2006 and her JD from the University of Washington School of Law in 2010. During law school she was active in moot court competitions and, among other awards, received the Best Brief award in the Thomas Tang International Appellate Advocacy Competition, regional 2009, and was a semi-finalist in the Falknor Appellate Advocacy Competition, 2009.
Marissa was also involved in the UW School of Law clinical studies program as a member of the Innocence Project Northwest clinic where she represented incarcerated individuals with claims of actual innocence and the Street Law clinic from 2009-2010 through which she taught basic law courses at Roosevelt High School. From 2008-2009 she served as a research assistant to UW School of Law Professor Kathryn Watts and assisted with the articles Proposing a Place for Politics in Arbitrary and Capricious Review, 119 YLJ 2 (2009) and From Chevron to Massachusetts: Justice Stevens's Approach to Securing the Public Interest, 43 U.C. Davis L. Rev. 1021 (2010).
