Emily O'Neill is a counsel in the firm's Securities Department, and a member of the Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2007.
Practice
Ms. O'Neill has extensive experience with securities enforcement and litigation. She has conducted investigations relating to anti-money laundering, fraud claims, recordkeeping practices, unlawful trading activity and other possible violations of broker-dealer regulations. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. O'Neill served as Special Counsel with the NYSE Regulation's Division of Enforcement, where she investigated and prosecuted violations of NYSE rules and federal securities laws by member firms and their employees. She also assisted in litigation and represented the Division before the NYSE Hearing Board arguing stipulated hearings and a penalty motion.
From 2003-2004, Ms. O'Neill clerked with the Superior Court of Massachusetts, where she assisted the justices in all phases of civil and criminal litigation.
