Scott D. Edwards had represented clients in general business and real estate matters for over 25 years. He has represented clients in connection with liquor licensing matters for over 15 years. His clients include national restaurant chains, independent restaurant operators, landlords, creditors, golf courses and hotels. As part of his practice, he has obtained every type of liquor license, prepared Asset Purchase and Stock Purchase Agreements, Buy-Sell and Shareholder Agreements, prepared and negotiated commercial contracts, including Management Agreements, Co-License Agreements and Option Agreements. He has represented creditors and debtors in the negotiation and preparation of security documents and loan transactions. He has represented Landlords and Tenants in lease negotiations and lease drafting as well as the sale and purchase of real estate. He is a liquor license contributor expert for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education for liquor licensing in Michigan, and he a contributor expert for liquor licensing matters for the Michigan Restaurant Association.
Mr. Edwards is a 1978 graduate of Oakland University, and he received his law degree from Wayne State University Law School and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1981.
