MICHAEL F. NESTOR is a former judicial clerk to the Honorable James J. Petrella, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Bergen County. His practice is divided between labor law, personal and commercial litigation in the areas of personal injury, professional negligence, products liability, including prescription drugs and chemicals, toxic torts and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Nestor also is instrumental in obtaining court approval for his client's purchase of structured settlement annuities. He continues to be appointed as an Arbitrator in cases involving UM/UIM automobile insurance matters and has been chosen to mediate matters by private litigants as well as being appointed Mediator through the New Jersey Court Approved Mediation program.
Mr. Nestor has prosecuted Municipal Court matters in the Borough of Roseland and the Township of West Caldwell, New Jersey. He has served as a Barrister in the Seton Hall Law School American Inn of Court and participated as a Mentor in the Mentoring Program of the Essex County Bar Association. For many years, he has been a member of the Allendale, New Jersey Zoning Board of Adjustment, which experience has proven invaluable when handling land use matters for his clients. In January 2008 he had to resign his position as a board member, after 10 years of service, to become the Zoning Board attorney for the Borough. He continues to handle land use and zoning matters for the Firm. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and most recently, New York.
