J. Patrick Nelson was born in Galesburg, IL on April 7, 1974. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Bradley University in 1996 and received his Juris Doctorate degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1999. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1999.
After graduation, Mr. Nelson pursued various avenues of the legal system before becoming a solo practitioner in March of 2010. Having his own practice has allowed Mr. Nelson to focus his expertise on family, criminal and juvenile law. Mr. Nelson has been a solid litigator for over a decade. His broad rage of courtroom experience, as evidenced in his work history, makes him confident and at ease even under the most contentious of circumstances.
Mr. Nelson is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and DuPage County Bar Association. He resides in Wheaton, Illinois with his wife, Allison, and their two children. In his spare time, Mr. Nelson enjoys running, fishing, and spending time outdoors
