Edgar Ndjatou is an Associate with the firm of Alan Banov and Associates.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ndjatou gained significant experience in employment and labor law. Mr. Ndjatou interned at the D.C. Employment Justice Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting workers' rights. He also spent some time with the law firm of Bernabei & Wachtel, PLLC, a plaintiff-side employment and civil rights law firm. In addition, Mr. Ndjatou was a law clerk at the Service Employees International Union and at Bernstein & Lipsett, PC, and a firm specializing in wage and hour litigation.
Originally, from Cameroon and raised in New York City, Mr. Ndjatou earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Economics, in 2006 from Brandeis University. He received his Juris Doctor in 2009 from American University, Washington College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Ndjatou was President of the Black Law Students Association and was Senior Marketing Editor of The Modern American, a publication devoted to diversity in the law. Mr. Ndjatou also competed in the ABA's Representation in Mediation Competition and was a member of the 2008 Mid-Atlantic Region Championship team. He also received training in ADR and negotiations.
Mr. Ndjatou is a member of the Maryland Bar. He is also a member of the bar for the U.S. District Court of Maryland. Additionally, Mr. Ndjatou is involved in a number of professional and volunteer engagements. He is a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association and serves as a Co-Chair for both the Membership Committee and New Lawyers Committee. Mr. Ndjatou is also a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He also spends his free time volunteering for the D.C. Employment Justice Center and for The Women's Law Center of Maryland, Inc.'s Employment Law Hotline Volunteer.
