A 2005 graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Brian intended to become a prosecutor — being a defense attorney was not part of his career plan. Then, while interviewing at the Firm, he began to appreciate the passionate belief upon which Larry Zukerman founded the practice: that every case deserves the most fervent and sympathetic scrutiny to ensure that an individual’s rights and liberties are not unjustifiably lost.

Sure enough, Brian has focused almost exclusively on criminal defense, along with some civil litigation. He finds it gratifying to get to know his clients over the period of a case; getting to know their backgrounds and the forces that have played upon their lives redoubles his devotion to fight for their rights and freedom.

Brian is as comfortable with the written word as he is at center stage in a courtroom, having coauthored several articles that were published by the Cleveland Bar Association and Federal Bar Association. In 2011, Brian was recognized as a Rising Star and was named as one of the top young lawyers in Ohio by SuperLawyers, an honor earned by less that 2.5% of the lawyers in the State.

A big sports fan, Brian also competed through high school. The older he gets, the more accomplished an athlete he was.
