Bretzmann, Raymond A.

Ben Brees was born in Lake Wales, Florida, the seventh of eight children. He earned his BA degree from the University of Notre Dame, majoring in modern languages which included a year abroad in France earning foreign language teaching credentials. Mr. Brees is fluent in English, Spanish and French.

He received his law degree from the University of La Verne in 1989, graduating with distinction and recognition with various American Jurisprudence awards, and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990, as well as the U.S. District Court - Central District. He is currently an active member of Los Angeles County Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and CAALA.

Mr. Brees worked for the insurance defense firm Thomas & Price for 12 years before opening Louis & Brees, LLP with a partner in 2000, where he litigated exclusively on behalf of consumers. Louis & Brees, LLP closed its doors in 2009 when Mr. Brees joined the Law Offices of John C. Ye, APLC.

Mr. Brees has been practicing civil litigation for 22 years, advocating on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants and has served as a court-appointed mediator, arbitrator and settlement officer by the Los Angeles Superior Court in numerous civil cases.
