Keith Murphy is a senior associate in the Regulatory and Government Affairs Department, and a member of the Defense and National Security Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2008.
Practice
Mr. Murphy's practice focuses on numerous government contracting issues, including negotiating contracts, claims and disputes, regulatory compliance, and bid protests.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Murphy was a senior consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he was contracted to the Department of Homeland Security as an intelligence analyst. He developed methods to track and analyze publicly expressed threats to national security interests and produced force protection reports evaluating non-traditional threat scenarios involving domestic terrorism and other national security issues.
As an active duty officer for the US Navy, Mr. Murphy was a military intelligence analyst in the Office of Naval Intelligence from 2002 to 2007, specializing in foreign military capabilities and small boat warfare tactics. He was also an Operations Officer from 1998 to 2002 assisting in the operations and planning of all major surface and sub-surface warfare operations within his squadron throughout multiple deployments to the Persian Gulf region. Mr. Murphy is currently a Lieutenant Commander serving in the Navy Reserves.
