Courtney Mueller represents employers in all aspects of traditional labor and employment law before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Courtney defends employers against unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board and has represented employers in labor arbitration proceedings. Courtney also represents employers in single, class, and collective matters arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other federal and state employment laws.
Additionally, Courtney counsels employers on a variety of labor and employment compliance issues, including labor contract administration, employee handbook implementation, wage and hour matters, personnel actions, and internal investigations of employee complaints. Courtney has conducted on-site workplace training and has experience advising government contractors regarding their obligations under Executive Order 11246 as well.
While in law school, Courtney volunteered her time for the Richmond Juvenile Delinquency Law Clinic, served as managing editor of the Journal of Global Law and Business, and participated in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition where she was named best oralist for the eastern region.
Courtney is a member of the bars of the state of New York and the District of Columbia.
