Mullen, Jonathan A.

Mike Morgan has broad experience litigating class actions and complex multiparty civil cases in a wide range of substantive areas, including consumer credit, false advertising and other business torts, securities, and employment law. He is an experienced trial lawyer. He has first chaired jury and bench trials and has resolved a large number of matters through mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. He has published dozens of articles on a range of business litigation topics.

His significant representations include defending Lehman Brothers in a securities fraud case arising out of the Enron bankruptcy (OCM v. Citibank, et al.), defending Experian in consumer class actions challenging its credit reporting procedures (Taylor v. Experian Information Solutions, Inc. and White v. Experian Information Solutions, Inc.), defending ConsumerInfo.com in a consumer class action involving claims of false advertising, and defending Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in a high-profile breach of contract action (Gomez v. Cruise and Kidman, et al.).

In 2003, Mike received the Advocate of the Year Award from the Consumer Law Project of Public Counsel, the nation's largest public service law firm. He was selected from approximately 3,000 volunteer attorneys for his successful prosecution of a class action on behalf of victims of a scam that targeted California's Spanish-speaking communities. In 2004, Mike received a Letter of Commendation from the City of Simi Valley for his pro bono prosecution of a hard-core gang member, which culminated in a successful jury verdict. He currently serves on the board of the Los Angeles Community College Foundation.

Mike is a member of the litigation sections of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
