Anthony L. Montagna Jr. was the founder of Montagna & Montagna, P.C. He passed away in December of 2012. Mr. Montagna graduated from the University of Virginia in 1962 with a B.A. in psychology, and graduated from The Law School of The University of Virginia in 1965 with a J.D.
On active duty with the United States Navy from 1965 to 1968; retired from the JAG Corps of the United States Naval Reserve in 1985 with the rank of Captain. Currently counsel to the Virginia Chapter of Mayflower Descendants; formerly President of the Tidewater Chapter of St. Jude's Children’s Hospital; former coach in Pony League baseball.
Member of the Judicial Selection Committee of the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association; admitted to practice in all Virginia state courts; admitted to practice in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia; admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia; admitted to practice before the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals; admitted to practice before the United States Court of Military Appeals; admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
Member of American Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and Virginia State Bar. Member of B.P.O.E., Circus Saints and Sinners of America, Chesapeake Bay Ambassadors, Order of Sons of Italy, Knights of Columbus, Order of Alhambra, Naval Reserve Association, and The Retired Officers Association.
