For more than 25 years, Mike Mitchell has served as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, or borrower's counsel in connection with financings by not-for-profit entities. He has worked with health care and cultural institutions, ranging from large multistate borrowers to small providers of community health care. Mike also has represented banks in connection with the provision of credit and liquidity facilities for health care financings.
Mike serves as borrower's counsel for Bon Secours Health System, a multistate health care provider, and Robert A. Woodruff Arts Center, a cultural institution that has exhibited works of visual and performing art in the city of Atlanta for many years. He also has served in several roles in association with over $2 billion of borrowings by The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Mike has represented Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and other national and regional investment banks as underwriter's counsel in connection with in excess of $1 billion of revenue bonds.
Mike is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
