Joseph L. Montgomery joined Leblanc Butler LLC in June of 2006. He has been AV rated by Martindale Hubbell since 2000, and currently holds an "AV Preeminent" rating determined by both his fellow practitioners and the area judiciary. In Mr. Montgomery's career, he has concentrated on representing individuals and small businesses in both civil and criminal matters, and has extensive judge and jury trial experience in personal injury. medical malpractice, real estate, probate, and criminal matters. He has been an instructor at the UNO Paralegal Institute and has spoken at seminars given by the Jefferson Bar Association. He formerly served as an Administrative Law Judge for Code Enforcement in the City of New Orleans. In 2009 he was appointed to the Louisiana Sentencing Commission by Governor Bobby Jindal and was named one of New Orleans' "Best Lawyers" by New Orleans Magazine in 2009.
