Ms. Milo is an associate with the Law Firm of Zampi, Determan & Erickson LLP. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2000. She was the honored recipient of the Merit Achievement Scholarship, John Winters Memorial Fund, Honorable Russell Thrasher & Honorable Lillian Y. Lim Scholarship, and the SOCLA Scholarship. During law school, Ms. Milo was engaged in various extracurricular activities. She was a preliminary round winner in the Thomas Tang National Moot Court Competition. Ms. Milo also held the position of Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. In 1996, Ms. Milo earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California at San Diego where she received Provost's Honors.
Prior to joining the Law Firm of Zampi, Determan & Erickson LLP, Ms. Milo served as a judicial clerk at the San Diego Superior Court for a civil calendar judge. Ms. Milo has volunteered to serve the community through Pro Bono Legal Advocates, the AIDS Legal Clinic, and as a mediator for the South Bay Small Claims Court.
Ms. Milo's law practice has included, among other things, employment law in both the private and public sectors, education law, civil rights, employment discrimination issues within the Americans With Disabilities Act, and general civil litigation. She has represented employers in collective bargaining disputes with unions, employee grievances, and general liability issues. At times, Ms. Milo has represented plaintiffs. Recently, in an employment disability discrimination case in federal court, Ms. Milo was successful in obtaining an award that exceeded over $700,000 for her client.
In her free time, Ms. Milo enjoys composing music, exercising, cruising to distant ports, and snorkeling.
