Celia Miner is a Yankton, South Dakota native. She graduated from Huron College in 1963 and received her Masters in Music from the University of South Dakota in 1968. After teaching for several years, Celia accepted a faculty position at Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota. Celia was appointed to the South Dakota State Board of Regents by Governor Richard Kneip in 1973. Celia attended the University of South Dakota School of Law, where she graduated at the top of her class in 1983 and was named to the Sterling Honor Society. After serving as a law clerk for United States District Judge Fred J. Nichol in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Celia began practicing law in Yankton.
Celia recently became "of counsel" with JMMWH. She is available for consultations by appointment only. Her primary areas of practice are estate planning and probate. Celia is licensed in South Dakota and is a member of the South Dakota Bar Association. Celia has served on the Mount Marty College Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors of East River Legal Services, the South Dakota Susan G. Komen Board, Lutheran Social Services Foundation, Yankton Community Foundation, and Yankton Public Schools Foundation.
Celia and her husband, Jim Miner, have three children and two well traveled grandchildren.
