Richard Milin has specialized in bankruptcy litigation since he came to the Togut Firm in 2003 after more than a decade as a commercial litigator at major New York firms. He has briefed, argued and won multi-billion dollar motions, participated in multiple trials, conducted investigations, arbitrated and mediated, assisted in drafting expert reports and advised Boards of Directors. Mr. Milin played a leading role in the Enron estate's litigation against the banks that contributed to its downfall, investigated short selling by investors who had promised to finance Delphi Corporation's exit from bankruptcy, represented Refco LLC in connection with its billion-dollar settlement with its affiliates, and assisted former General Motors, Chrysler, Collins & Aikman, Tower Automotive and affiliates of Charter Communications and AbitibiBowater, Inc. in a variety of significant, litigated disputes.
