Dave Meyer's practice focuses on antitrust, commercial litigation, and appeals. He has represented corporations and individuals in all phases of civil and criminal litigation through trial and appeal. At the trial level, he has represented clients in private antitrust actions (single plaintiff matters and class actions), patent infringement actions, international disputes, and commercial litigation, including the defense of a major railroad in multidistrict antitrust class action.
He also has represented clients in state and federal appellate courts in a wide range of substantive legal areas, including antitrust, unfair competition, Lanham Act, product liability, punitive damages, breach of contract, First Amendment, housing rights, class certification, and alleged violations of international law under the Alien Tort Statute.
In addition, Dave has significant experience representing clients through all stages of the criminal process, including grand jury investigations, trial, and appeals, including the successful defense of an appeal involving the federal sentencing guidelines.
Dave is a member of the antitrust sections of the American Bar Association, State Bar of California, and Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (Appellate Courts Committee); a member of the board of directors of Uncommon Good, a social service agency helping families in poverty; and a volunteer mediator of the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District.
Dave has spoken and written on state antitrust laws, the Robinson-Patman Act, and price-fixing in the oil industry.
