T. Thomas Metier has represented seriously injured adults and children throughout the U.S. for over 30 years. His national trial practice focuses on victims suffering from brain injuries, paralysis, serious burns, amputations, wrongful death, and nursing home abuse and neglect. Nationally known for innovative trial work, he continues to win multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements for victims of insurance bad faith, oil field accidents, products liability, mining accidents, medical negligence and vehicle accidents including trucking, motorcycle, automobile, airplane and bicycle. A native of Iowa, Tom graduated Cum Laude from Coe College and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa. In 1981, he moved to Colorado and began fine-tuning his skills as a trial specialist and master storyteller. Today, he teaches trial skills at the Trial Lawyer’s College in Wyoming and at numerous speaking engagements across the country. He is often called upon by other trial attorneys to assist in the development and trial of their cases. Named to The Best Lawyers in America, Tom serves on the faculty of the Trial Lawyers' College and the Executive Board of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, Board Certified in Civil Pretrial Practice by the National Board of Civil Pretrial Practice Advocacy, a member of the American Association for Justice’s President’s club, the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Motor Vehicle Trial Lawyers Association, The Million Dollar Advocates Forum, The Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Larimer County Bar Association. He has been listed as a Colorado Super Lawyer each year from 2006 to 2012 and has received a Martindale Hubbell AV rating from his peers, the highest rating available.
