Education:

Kelly received his Bachelor of Science in Small Business Management from the University of Colorado and his Juris Doctorate and Environmental Law Certificate from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College. While at Lewis and Clark, Kelly was a member of the Environmental Law Review, the nation’s oldest law review dedicated solely to environmental issues. He also studied with the Study Abroad Law Program of the College of William & Mary in Madrid, Spain.

Experience and Publications:

Kelly started in 1997 as an associate attorney with Grenley, Rotenberg, Evans, Bragg & Bodie, P.C., where became a shareholder in 2002. He stayed with that firm through the merger creating Buckley Law P.C. in January of 2011, and he joined Slinde Nelson Stanford in February of 2012. Kelly is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington, and is a member of the Business Section of the Oregon Bar and the National Association of Dealer Counsel. Kelly wrote the Liquidated Damages Chapter Revision in the CLE publication Damages (Oregon CLE 1998) and the Warranties in Real Estate Sales Chapter Revision in the CLE publication Fundamentals of Real Estate Transactions (Oregon CLE 2001).

Interests:

Kelly has travelled extensively and enjoys skiing, rock climbing, cycling, and practicing yoga. He is a patron of Portland’s theaters, museums, and galleries, and he frequently explores the city’s thriving restaurant and live music scenes.
